Today is the First Day of the Rest of Your Life!

The title of this post are words that I am sure most of you have heard before. There's a good reason for that. It is true that our past has played a huge role in shaping us into the people we are today, whether for better or for worse. However, we do not have to be chained to our past. No matter what might be cluttering the closet of your regrets, you can move on. Tomorrow can be a much better day! Knowing and following the teachings of Jesus Christ is the key to doing so. He himself put it this way:

“If you abide in my word, you are truly my disciples, and you will know the truth, and the truth will set you free”
(John 8:31-32; see also John 8:34-36).

How well do you know the truth? What are you doing to know it better? And what are you doing with what you know? Jesus makes it clear that we must not just here his word . . . we must also put it into practice (Matthew 7:24-27)! Only then will we find the freedom from a past that can at times haunt us!

Thanks for stopping by . . .
